The bake-a-boo bakery cookbook launch party
I’m a bit late with this post, but it’s been a whirlwind of a week. I just had to tell you about our book launch party and I can’t believe it was a whole week ago!!
On Monday 6th September us bake-a-boo girls slipped into our new frocks, donnned our finest over the top eyelashes and wore our ‘I love bake-a-boo’ badges with pride! We spent all day preparing for the party and making the shop look, what may well be, the prettiest I have ever seen it, filled with flowers from the lovely liz at bluesky flowers, and lots of bake-a-boo magic.
The kitchen then became an extremely glamourous dressing room when the utterly FABULOUS Rockabellas arrived. They transformed into minxy sailor girls and sang the night away. Everybody loved them and I have to say they absolutely MADE the party! These girls are true prefessionals, and I simply cannot wait to have another party, just so we can get them back here again!
We covered our big table with miniature cakes, all our fave recipes from the book and surrounded them with fairy lights, pretty flowers, toadstalls, butterflies and tonnes of sparkley glitter, all topped off with lashings of doilies and bunting – the bake-a-boo essentials. We served our strawberry, passion fruit and coffee cocktails in teapots and guests sipped them from vintage tea cups to accompany their cakes.
There were lots of books sold, and several had to be personally signed.
All in all – we had a ball! and thank you to everybody who came and partied with us. We love you all xx
